WHAT TO EXPECT | STEP BY STEP

Our process is all about making you feel confident, comfortable, and completely taken care of, while delivering standout results for you and your business.

With years of experience as a photographer, producer, client manager, and creative team lead, Leah brings the perfect blend of calm expertise and sharp coordination. Every detail of your shoot is handled seamlessly, so you can relax and enjoy the process knowing you're in expert hands.

 

1. Discovery & Briefing

We start with a conversation to understand your business, objectives, and the kind of images you need. Whether it’s for your website, LinkedIn profiles, internal comms, or marketing materials. We’ll discuss tone, style, deliverables, and logistics.

2. Quoting & Proposal

Once the brief is clear, you’ll receive a tailored quote based on your specific requirements. Including shoot time, number of images, retouching, and any additional crew or location needs.

3. Pre-Production

This stage covers all the planning essentials: Scheduling, location scouting or studio booking, wardrobe/styling guidance, shot list creation, booking crew (hair/makeup, assistant, etc.), if needed. We may also do a site visit if required.

4. SHOOT DAY

On the day, all the pre-production planning comes together to ensure everything runs smoothly and seamlessly.

ARRIVAL & SETUP:

We’ll arrive early to set up lighting, gear, and backgrounds if needed. If we’re on location, we’ll also do a quick walkthrough to finalise logistics.

WALKTHROUGH & SHOTLIST REVIEW

Before we start shooting, we’ll run through the day’s plan so you know exactly what’s ahead.

THE SHOOT ITSELF:

We’ll guide you through every step. posing, expression, and energy. so you feel comfortable and confident. Tethered viewing is available, so you can review images as we go.

WRAP UP:

Once we’ve captured everything, we’ll pack down efficiently with minimal disruption to your day

5. Image Selection

After the shoot, a private curated gallery is shared with you. You can select your favourites directly from the online gallery for final retouching.

6. Post-Production

Every single image tells a story.The editing process is where tone, mood, and brand personality truly come together. Whether it’s a warm, inviting office space or a dynamic team portrait on location, professional editing ensures your photos are cohesive, polished, and aligned with your visual identity. From colour grading to subtle retouching, each frame is crafted to reflect the atmosphere and authenticity of your brand.

7. Final Delivery

After the final invoice has been finalised, your finished images are delivered via a secure, easy-to-navigate private gallery, ready for download and use.

Each file will be provided in a web and print file size. Usage rights and licensing details are included as discussed.

I HAVE A QUESTION

  • We’ll start by pencilling in your preferred date during our initial conversation. Once your 50% deposit is received, we’ll lock it in and make it official. Your shoot is booked and ready to go!

  • A little prep goes a long way.
    A great night’s sleep can make all the difference in how you look and feel on shoot day. Set yourself up for success by choosing your wardrobe the night before, and allow a little buffer time around your session so you can arrive feeling calm, confident, and ready to shine.

  • While I’m based in Redfern, I partner with a network of studios across Sydney that can be booked as needed. Prefer to keep things onsite? I’m happy to travel to your business location for convenience and efficiency.

  • See your best shots in real time.
    During a standard portrait session, I shoot tethered so you’ll have the option to view and select your favourite images on the spot.

    Prefer to decide later? No problem. I’ll send you a private gallery with 10–15 curated images to review at your own pace. Simply ‘favourite’ the ones you’d like retouched, and I’ll take care of the rest.

  • Let’s make sure you get exactly what you need.
    We’ll agree on the number of final images before your shoot, based on your brief and goals.

    In a standard corporate headshot session, each person receives two professionally edited portraits, delivered in both web and print-ready formats. Need more? No problem. Additional images can be included and will be reflected in your final invoice.

    Every session is tailored to you, and all final image files are delivered to match your unique requirements.

  • Our typical turnaround time is just 5 business days after you’ve selected your images. Once we’ve reviewed the retouching needs, we’ll promptly confirm your exact delivery date. Need your final files sooner? We’re happy to accommodate rush requests for an additional fee, just let us know!

  • Every image is carefully edited in-house to guarantee professional results that perfectly align with your brand. Our editing approach is subtle and refined, crafted to highlight the very best in every client.

  • RAW files are available for release with a usage license fee. Perfect if you have an in-house creative team. Please note, copyright remains with the photographer unless we agree otherwise.tion

  • If time permits, absolutely! Any additional image requests will be clearly included in your final invoice.

  • Absolutely! Just be sure to provide at least 48 hours’ notice to avoid any cancellation fees.
